"Group" RESULTS - 'Afternoon' Thursday 29th May Workings...

Afternoon,

This afternoon completed then, and went as follows...

The 1st runner we wanted 1.46, and with being around 1.74 on arrival and not dropping down to our lay price at any stage at all, we all had to avoid the race. The runner went and won well, so a good leave....

The 2nd runner we wanted 2.4, and with being a well supported 2.2 on arrival and slightly shorter, we had a lay at 2.2 max. The price then went for a big walk out to our own price of 2.7 and slightly beyond, so a chance for traders and builders to have a 'free' lay. The lay/trade looked in trouble a couple of times, but dug deep to get the win, so frustrating, but the way it goes and glad of the 'free' lay now....

The 3rd runner we wanted 2.0, and with being around 2.42 on arrival and only getting bigger, we never see our lay price at any stage, so all had to avoid the race. The runner never looked like winning to be perfectly honest, so the drift more than justified and 'one that got away in hindsight'......

The 4th runner we wanted 1.46, and with being a well supported 1.31 on arrival and shortening, we had a lay at 1.31 max. The lay came in 3rd of 3 and so a good result......

The 5th runner we wanted 3.2, and with being around 2.84 and shorter on arrival, we had a lay at 2.84 max. The lay looked in a bit of trouble, but dug deep to pull out the win, so the way it goes. Traders easily got their trade back prices in running, so got away with it...

The 6th runner we wanted 3.0, and with being around 2.7 on arrival, we had a lay at around 2.7. The lay was beaten and so a good result.....

The 7th runner we wanted 3.0, and with being around 2.75 on arrival, we had a lay at 2.75. The lay went and won, so fair play and the way it goes....

The 8th runner we wanted 1.3, and with being around 1.39 on arrival and then dropping down to us, we had a lay at the rock bottom of the market, and 1.3. The lay went and won despite a late battle, so the way it goes...

The 9th runner we wanted 1.6, and with being around 1.81 on arrival and not coming down to us at any stage at all, we all had to avoid the race. The runner ran a poor race and was easily beaten to be fair, so a surprise result and 'one that got away in hindsight'.........

The 10th and final runner we wanted 3.3, and with drifting to 3.45 on arrival - there being around 20 minutes to the race, and only a tiny bit of trading left on offer - I'm leaving it here and having a break before this evening. Good luck if you stick around to trade this race....

WELL PLAYED/BATTLED.................(2 from the first 2 (100%) went and won - 3 from the first 5 (60%) went and won - and 5 from the 9 played (55.55%) - so a tough session yet again this month, but we dealt with it the best we could and so well played/battled guys)

'Rolling' strategy/target players (no 'free' lays for them) Had to concede 1.5 targets...........They started their 1st strategy/target on the 2nd runner, and after a battle they ended up conceding 1.5 targets after their 5th lay (the 7th runner)...............They then ran out of enough potential lays left to start another strategy/target, so ended the session conceding 1.5 targets...

'Bank building' strategy/target players started with a 'free' lay (the 2nd runner) that only bought then relief.....They then had their 1st lay (the 4th runner) at 1.31 max, and a good result see them hit their targets...

Bank builder 4 runner strategy/target players. £400 bank. Max 25% target £100

'Free' lay bought no free profit, only relief.

Total bank remains £400

1st lay £100 to win the £100 target @ 1.31 max. Result positive

Total bank now £500

Overall result. Target hit.

Bank builder 5 runner strategy/target players. £400 bank. Max 25% target £100

'Free' lay bought no free profit, only relief.

Total bank remains £400

1st lay £80 to win the £100 target @ 1.31 max. Result positive

Total bank now £500

Overall result. Target hit.

Traders had to concede a little on the 7th runner at 2.75 max, and the 8th runner at 1.3, but all others see them win a bit, or break level, so all in all they finish around levels, and that's not a bad effort with all those winners...

So builders played it good and solid early to get the wages, and well played guys. Rollers on the other hand had to concede a little 1.5 targets after a battle and no free lays, so frustrating for them as the favourites pile in, and they go into this evening looking for profit to add to those satchels. Speak soon....

Morning,

The races, runners, and prices, to work around for this afternoon then, as follows....

2.20 Ayr. SHAWEEL (1.74)

Our price 4/6 (1.67) and so no bets can be advised at current odds. If we see 1.46 or under, we'll go in for a lay. *Traders be aware, that although very lightly raced, he did show he can race prominently on debut, therefore no surprise to see those tactics applied again for this afternoon's race*

2.30 Great Leighs. UNLEASHED (2.54)

Our price 17/10 (2.7) and so no bets can be advised at current odds. If we see 2.4 or under, we'll go in for a lay. *Please note that a 'bit' more emphasis has gone on the early markets for clues, concerning this race*

2.40 Yarmouth. GUEST CONNECTIONS (2.12)

Our price 13/10 (2.3) and so no bets can be advised at current odds. If we see 2.0 or under, we'll go in for a lay. *Traders be aware, that although he can race a few ways, it wouldn't be any surprise to see a prominent display this afternoon*

2.50 Ayr. PENINSULAR WAR (1.53)

Our price 4/6 (1.67) and so no bets can be advised at current odds. If we see 1.46 or under, we'll go in for a lay. *Traders be aware, that although lightly raced, he has shown he can race prominently and so no surprise to see a prominent display this afternoon in such a small field*

3.00 Great Leighs. BEFORTYFOUR (2.94)

Our price 5/2 (3.5) and so a LAY is the call at current odds. We'd lay up to 3.2 or under. *Traders be aware, that although lightly raced, he has shown a tendency to lead, or race very prominently*

3.30 Great Leighs. TAMAGIN (2.9)

Our price 23/10 (3.3) and so a LAY is the call at current odds. We'd lay up to 3.0 or under. *Traders be aware that he likes to lead, or race very prominent in his races*

3.50 Ayr. OSTEOPATHIC REMEDY (3.05)

Our price 23/10 (3.3) and so no bets can be advised at current odds. If we see 3.0 or under, we'll go in for a lay.

4.20 Ayr. ALLEVIATE (1.43)

Our price 1/2 (1.5) and so no bets can be advised at current odds. If we see 1.3 or under, we'll go in for a lay.

4.50 Ayr. FABREZE (1.79)

Our price 4/5 (1.8) and so no bets can be advised at current odds. If we see 1.6 or under, we'll go in for a lay.

5.20 Ayr. SPEEDY SENORITA (3.4)

Our price 13/5 (3.6) and so no bets can be advised at current odds. If we see 3.3 or under, we'll go in for a lay.

All races priced up with non runners taken into account, up until 09:45am.

That's what we have to work around for this afternoon then. Again it's looking a tricky and testing session, especially with that unexposed nature to the fore leaving us vulnerable to big gambles and drifters!, but again we have enough about us to warrant going into battle, so that's what we'll do. Discipline to the maximum and take advantage of any prices that come our way. Good luck and speak soon with this evening's workings...
