Will the Triple Crown form hold up in KZN ?
That is why we punt on uncertain future events

Legal Eagle probably won`t run
probably nothing between Abashiri and Black Arthur
But neither of them will win the July

If I owned this magnificent animal I would give him a break. He has done more than his fair share. Bring him back in the features next year. Mike Azzie is an excellent horseman he must know what he has.

.....horses are bred to run.....and not stand in boxes.....horses in training run every day.....if you have a sound and competitive animal why not let him run while he can.....putting them on ice or in a paddock or out on a farm to have a go at the future is senseless....many a horse has also gone wrong while being rested....bitten by a snake, spider, spooked by lighting or a tractor and run through a fence.....they cannot be put in cotton wool....imo if the horse is well and ready have a tilt at the races you can win while one can.....you only get one shot and take it while the horse is well......

He's a champion but I concur with those above - give him a rest. Go for the Met.

I am definitely with Muhtiman on this one. If the horse is well.... Let him race. How many times have we seen a good one rested and he never comes back to his best.

Abishiri is in the form of his life at the peak of his life horses perform best or at their peak as 3 yo imo so let him have a go. Win draw or lose dont make it a what if story

Re: Abashiri
9 years 1 month ago....agree but think he is also improving, his last run he beat nothing but was ridden badly.....the pacemaker split the field and Karl got him trapped behind in the second bunch who were going too slow....he then had to go around them and lost lengths running diagonally across the straight to find the outside rail....this run was his bad luck story but still good enough to win.....he must take his chances at a tilt at the JulyShezaPunter wrote: Abishiri is in the form of his life at the peak of his life horses perform best or at their peak as 3 yo imo so let him have a go. ....sacrifice Deputy Judd to make the pace so that he don't get caught in the pack again....

Professional trainers aim horses at group races without burning them out
Your view is appreciated by me
And I hope you appreciate mine
A horse must be raced " Sparingly "
Group horses are most definitely not raced according to your suggestions .
Absolutely " To The Contrary . "
.....so are you a professional trainer posing as an idiot to play devil's advocate....why would going for the July with a 3yr old improver be regarded as burning out a horse.....
Mike Azzie and his owners want a July winner and they have a chance....the horse is qualified on rating so why not.....he is going to be burnt out....how...
