The fruits of restrictions!
The bottom line is the ship was sinking so Clairwood had to be sold, but they'll eventually burn through that 300 million too.

Actually shocking programming!! There were 40 acceptances for a MR66 next week.Had to split and eliminate. Why they wont accept that the horses are weaker than the program is mind blowing. Every time they program MR 66 the race has eliminations. GO FIGURE !!!

Feeling fairly confident that the double (R1) Black Hall Bar X (R3) Ruler Of The Sky will arrive.
Black Hall Bar must be producing some promising work back home, run twice and supported on both occasions. Last time supported like the result was a forgone conclusion. The way she finished her last run, the extra 200m should pose no problems. The only way this horse loses is if Marcus is allowed to control the pace and turns it into a sprint in the straight. I say this because in the last race BHB appeared to battle to quicken in the last 400m and only made up 1.35 lengths. Hopefully Bruss and Fayd'Herbe have a game plan should it be a slow run affair. I still make her the one to beat.
Ruler Of The Sky, see this one has had it's odds trimmed from an opening call of 18/10 into (roughly) 12/10. Appears to be a decent sort and from a good draw should pull off the hat-trick. Would be interesting to know how the trainer decided on which jockey to choose? The fact that she is having her second run after the rest doesn't appear to have deterred the early punters, she could start much shorter than the current odds.

Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

One of the best parts of Natal seasons past was the unveiling of future champions who would would make their debuts in extremely strong maidens at Clairwood,or even Greyville like Dynasty. It was about more than just feature races.
Now races on the the Greyville turf aren't even run unless it's a feature!
Natal maiden races are now so poor they are but one notch above Kimberley.
It is a sad day for Natal racing when a moderate 3 yr old like Nuntius(rated64) absolutely bolts in against lightly raced horses and unraced horses. How bad must those behind him be?
This is high season. We won't even talk about off season when the racing really is phish.

It was always Anton's ride so hence Anton back on cause he couldnt ride her last time due to contractual obligations.

Thanks for clearing that up, Mater Familias was the horse in question.

Correct Bayern - wishing John Nel and the stable all the best tomorrow - top man and top trainer in the making - hope the big filly shows her class.
