Champions Day was a great success for the TBA

Some owners must believe that all the future Graded race winners will come from the Cape sales co.

Tiger i remember everyone saying its good for the sales to have competition..

Whats happening now is more like a mafia takeover

Bob, I am no fan of monopolies and granted when the TBA was the only show in town I wanted them to have competition. The way things are happening now is really a reflection of the industry which is sad but unfortunately a reality of what and how things happen in horse racing.

You have some breeders eluding to, "the politics", when interviewed about their NYS draft, sad really.

What the breeders need to understand is that they need to support all the sales and be more open to buyers, lower reserves and you will have lower return rates. People will also feel that the sales are less rigged and be more open to spending.

The CTS has its place but not as the only show in town, the more they strive for this the less people will feel that they are buying at the right prices. Ultimately no owner can restricted themselves to one sale and hope to be lucky enough to buy a champion.... work together with buyers and we could have something special.

.....the TBA are holding onto their slice of the pie and top horses they will continue to supply....from this past sale and not just judging from the results.....but the turnout of buyers .....especially from the Cape was the best I have seen in years.....under the female touch and leading by example the TBA chairperson Susan Rowett has steadied the ship and upped their game...... and clearly got her team to target those out of towners to attend to make an impressive showing.....however there is clear polarization of buyers and attendee's that seem to favor the CTS branded affair.....prices were at least realistic and one got what one would pay for.....
