JHB trainers chucking it or scaling down !

Zaki chucked it the other month
Moffat gave up yards
Mr Ferraris given up stables
Botes cut back stables .
Now I'm hearing Tolmay is chucking it ?
Nearly all have said the same thing, can't make it pay with other stables doing deals with training fees ( apart Oom Ferraris ?

What about Snaith ? Hear he's also closing JHB ? Thought it strange he's not tried harder in the feature season

Marshall was here last season and also didn't pitch this time round. Pity actually, would have been good to see how the Cape raiders fair against the likes of Tarry, Azzie and Woody up here in their back yard.

In all the years I have raced, for some reason cape to jhb and jhb to cape seems to not agree with horses.........there are exceptions but generally the ventures have not been Overly successful!
So many horses , moving either way, just don't produce their home form.......it is why it would be interesting ,from a pure fair competition point of view , to have most classic and group races at a joint "championship" track in a place like pmb-that would really test horses abilities on the most level playing field......For some reason, the place that horses seem to reproduce their best, when raiding!
The problem is that nobody is going to give Natal that honour , even though it geographically makes sense!
Sadly , although it would make for great racing, it is never going to happen unless introduced like some sort of "Kerry Packer" type racing series!!!!!

If P threw the R4 bar and plenty marketing hype into the Computaform Sprint instead of the Challenge then the Capies would come. Trust me.

To calculate the present value can you remember what the stake was when Laisserfaire won it and the year?
