World Sports Betting Charity Drive Brings Excitement to the Eastern Cape!
The tipping skills of popular Port Elizabeth on course presenter Nadine Rapson and her equally popular Tellytrack colleague for the day Deez Dyanand will be put to the ultimate test at the Fairview meeting on Monday March 28 thanks to a generous offer made by World Sports Betting. The two presenters can potentially win R100,000 for charity!
WSB will give the two presenters R5000 each to bet with and the money they win, to a maximum of R100,000, will be paid to the East Cape Horse Care Unit (HCU).
In the event they make a loss, the minimum of R10,000 will be paid to the HCU.
Nadine is known for her in depth study of each meeting’s card, complete with trainer and jockey comments and recorded interviews, and this is greatly appreciated by the betting public.
Deez Dyanand is without doubt one of the most passionate racing industry man in the country and as a knowledgeable and dedicated racing analyst he has the reputation of trying his best to find “good things” for the betting public.
Nadine is likely to be burning the midnight oil looking for value bets before this particular Monday meeting and Deez will certainly arrive equally prepared. It is definitely a meeting for both Tellytrack viewers and Off Course Tote patrons to diarise.
On course patrons will also be pricking up their ears to listen to the presenters’ comments. The unique opportunity provided by WSB is going to provide for a most entertaining, and possibly profitable, sideshow.
It is all for a great cause too as the HCU have been tireless in rescuing ill-treated horses and providing them with the care they deserve.

WSB CHARITY DRIVE AT POLY CHALLENGE
Date: 11 APRIL 2016
World Sports Betting (WSB) will provide popular on course presenter Nadine Rapson with another golden opportunity to raise R100,000 for charity at Fairview's Monday meeting of April 18, where the second leg of the R600,000 WSB East Cape Poly Challenge will be run. This time her co-presenter will be the experienced and knowledgeable Cape presenter Grant Knowles.
WSB will give the two presenters R5000 each to bet with. The money they win, to a maximum of R100,000, will be paid to the East Cape Horse Care Unit (HCU).
In the event they make a loss, the minimum of R10,000 will be paid to the HCU.
Rapson and her co-presenter Deez Dyanand were unable to "hit them hard" when WSB provided them with this opportunity at the first leg of the challenge on March 28. However, HCU still benefitted to the tune of R10,000. Rapson would have learnt a few lessons in the process and is sure to consult with Knowles before the big day. Structuring the bets and the bet amounts are as important as tipping ability and herein could lie the key to the small fortune.
The first leg of the Poly Challenge, the R100 000 East Cape Poly Challenge 1200, run on Easter Monday March 28 was interestingly enough won by the East Cape's reigning Poly Horse Of The Year Gogetthesheriff. This was always going to be the toughest leg for this gallant horse because he prefers further. He now has an outstanding chance of landing the R250,000 bonus WSB will pay to the owners of any horse who wins all three legs of the challenge series.
The second leg of the challenge to be run at the aforementioned meeting is the R100 000 WSB East Cape Poly Challenge 1400 and Gogetthesheriff is duly among the entries. The final leg is the R100 000 WSB East Cape Poly Challenge 1600 on Friday May 13.
The bad news for Gogetthesheriff's rivals is, while the weights of all three legs are based on merit rated bands, any horse with a merit rating of 100 or above may only carry 62kg and no more. Gogetthesherriff is merit rated 108 so was officially 3,5kg better off with any horse in the first leg and will be similarly well weighted In the next two legs too.
Therefore the popular Jacque Strydom-trained five-year-old looks set to carve his name into Port Elizabeth racing folklore.
Amazingly enough he is by the no longer forgotten stallion Go Deputy.
Breeders shunned the Lammerskraal Stud-based stallion to the extent he received only two mares this past season. However, his brilliant son Abashiri now stands on cusp of Triple Crown glory and is already being compared to the all time greats of the South African turf. Gogetthesheriff is another one who will help Go Deputy cock a snoot at breeders and it will be no surprise to see the superbly-bred stallion receiving a full book of mares next season.
Fairview's Monday 18 meeting will generate plenty of interest with Gogetthesheriff being willed on to win and Nadine and Grant being willed on to beat the bookies.
The latter aspect is all in a great cause as HCU have been tireless in rescuing ill-treated horses and providing them with the care they deserve.
