Too many cooks.............

Now in KZN Racing at Greyville there are 4 talking heads all trying to help the punter hit 'em hard in the 10 mins or so before the off.

Along with differences of opinion, come differences of a personal nature and having more is not necessarily getting more into punter's pockets!!!

If you followed yesterday's proceedings then Deez who is veryb popular among the forumites, came out the best by tipping 2 winners napped and another bullish mention.

Now in the 1st of Deez nap on the nose selections, the other 2 tipsters in unison tipped a horse Ostentation which only ran 4th. Hats off to them.

So if the punter who is still unsure about placing his bet is bombarded with this barrage of tips and tipsters, listened to the 2 above and lost his money, the punter can be forgiven for saying too many cooks spoilt the party. :P

Shaheen is one of the few I seen who puts the punters interest above his own, top class

many punters have their favourite tipsters who they follow so having opinions from 4 isn't a bad thing as it will cover the majority of punters watching..what has to be improved is co ordinating the 4 and also working on their weaknesses with proper training

If one has to apply length of service then Paul Laff is the 1st of the 4 followed by Deez. Now the onus rests on the newbies to work with and not against the likes of Deez and Laff.

Just as Deez did when he joined Laff.

length of service means diddly squat I can tell you that the best presenters who are on tellytrack are definitely not the ones who have been there the longest ..in fact the ones who have been there the longest are way to comfortable in their positions and do the least preparation for a meeting ...doing the same thing for 30 years doesn't give you 30 years experience it gives you 30 years of doing the same thing every year..i have had to monitor presenters in the past and the largest amount of mistakes came from the most experienced presenters as you put it and guess what they still doing and making the same errors

Where do the on course KZN presenters get their opening betting from. On Boxing Day, Laff won with Ole Gunner and I believe it was Sheldon who was doing the interview who said that Ole Gunner was backed from 5/1 to 14/10 in the morning. Laff looked confused saying it had opened at 14/10. I never saw any site offer anything like 5/1. Is there somewhere else they use for their betting?

I do know that the previous abandoned meeting this horse was backed however 5/1 was never available.

I have a question related to this subject ..............................what qualifies a presenter/tipster/advisor to be suitable for Tellytrack.
I have always easily accepted trainers who present as their experience has to be valuable, especially in visual well being of horses. More recently ,the use of ex-jocks makes sense for similar reasons.
However, over the years,we get introduced to persons (some too young to be counting on experience and some you wonder at what they did before) giving "expert" advice, without any reference as to what qualifies them.(we have at least one that has had more previous jobs than a temp Kelly Girl)
If, as it would appear, there are punters who are spending their money based on the guidance of these "experts" ,perhaps their credentials and qualification should be made known so that the value of their opinion can be assessed by investors.
You only have to compare the presentations of someone like the very knowledgable Darryl Maree, with some of the daily presenters, to realise there is a gulf between them!

Only one question, why do they tell the punters ( both local and international ) their selection when the horses are being loaded with no chance of playing the selection even if u wanted to ??

They need to buy the ex jocks a foot stool to stand on for when they are being interviewed by WL
