Just checked the betting on Hollywood and The Sharks are the shortest priced of all the SA sides to win the competition in 2016?

With Plum and the same coaching staff still with the Hurricanes, 5/1 is a steal........

Why?
Has Plumtree won a Super Rugby Title that I missed?
Have the Hurricanes won a Super Title that I missed?
Didn't the Hurricanes manage to become one of only two sides in the history of the competition to LOSE a Super Rugby final AT HOME?
They may well be 'runners' next year (without Nonu, Smith & a number of others) but at 5/1 they are certainly no 'steal'.

I want to know what the Bookies know that I don't as we were pathetic last year and very close to the worst side in SA!

Your facts are indeed correct, I have based my decision on the huge improvement the hurricanes have made under the current coaching staff. Yes they did not win the title last year, but they were in my eyes, the best side, tearing other teams apart at will, falling short at the final hurdle.
All teams have lost players after the world cup, and yes Smith and Nonu are great loses, but one thing NZ teams have in abundance is depth, and I certainly won't be surprised to see their replacements light up the turf.

The teams from Japan and Argentina should hopefully be very competitive. The comp is far too long and drawn out with plenty of travel involved but the people on the top seem to think that this is the way to go to improve the game. IMO less is more. We need 12 very strong sides not 18 teams where 4 are good 4 are average and where the rest make up the numbers. My recommendations would be. 12 teams in two groups of 6 playing home and away. Top two teams of each group play in the semi finals home and away and the final is played in a neutral stadium. Each season they pick a country and a stadium for the final. Stupid playing finals on your home stadium as you have all the advantage.
But now that they have settled for 17 teams by the time we get to May we will be watching the teams from mid table down with little or no chance just going through the motions and coaches will by then be trying out new players. I can tell you right away that the top end of the ladder will end something like this.
Chiefs, Crusaders, Brumbies, Stormers, Warraths, Hurricanes, Highlanders, Sharks.
