John Plumtree is 1/1 favourite to replace Hyneke , anyone keen on him ?

Take a look at all the prices > www.sportingbet.co.za/sports-rugby-union...8231b_34900c_20303d_

I mentioned on the world cup thread. Imo, Plumtree would be the best man, and Ackermann his assis coach. Many people thought Plum wasn't to great at the Sharks, but since he left, sad to say we have PLUMited (excuse the pun). And we all know how well he has done in NZ. Ackermann similar coach, but maybe not enough experience, thus ass coach. I think that pairing would bring flair and improve our rugby on a whole!

I agree .................South African national side needs new ideas and ,a bonus is that an overseas manager ,WITH SELECTION DUTIES, should go a long way to avoiding some of the petty race disputes!

The next Springbok coach will have a lot of conditions attached, that will have to be adhered to.
What is Alaster Coetzee doing these days.
Did I hear he is coaching in the Land of the Rising Sun?

I would hope that the bosses of SA Rugby first have a long look around to see who, if anybody, worth his salt would be interested in the job. If they cant find anybody suitable then they should stick with Meyer for a year and see how he goes. Plenty of high profile matches next season Ireland in SA for a couple of tests then the Championship then the tour to the UK where they will play all 4 home nations of which they will only come short to Scotland. Japan world cup is a world away so take short term aims and if they don't win at least 8 of the 12 matches next year then show him the door.
