Teasing you Pirates...................the point I was making that some horses seem to be allowed a lot more wins ,by surface ,to have identical ratings ..........seems unfair in execution!
(Funnily ,I think Louis horse in the 3rd might be well handicapped on the sand today ???)

If Strydom was on Usisi we would of heard all about it by the brown nose commentator....

Its hard enough rating 2yr olds............Ill be glad when trying to align sand and turf is a thing of the past ...............another example of what an inexact science that is !

Perhaps something that should be pointed out .................in analysing patterns,no other stable comes close to the Goosen yard to getting horses to perform on "both" surfaces equally(or close to) ..........................that fact deserves a lot of credit!

I have cut back my spending on vaal sand by at least 60 percent as the track has worsened considerably in the last 12 to 18 months .. I made precursor a good thing today but apart from ankering in exotics don't trust the surface to have a straight bet ..the track looks very heavy and with races around the turn coming up we could have plenty hurdle type finishes with plenty finishing tailed off..its a pity because it used to be a consistent track to follow form and now phum aint gonna spend a cent to fix it for the remaining meetings ..long lunches or time spent on the beach could be coming up when there is sand racing until it closes
