"Group" RESULTS - 'Bank Holiday Monday' May 5th Workings...

Afternoon.

This afternoon completed, and went as follows.....

The 1st runner we wanted 2.4, and with being around 2.88 on arrival and not coming anywhere near our lay price at any stage at all, we all had to avoid the race. The runner went and won, so a good leave.....

The 2nd runner we wanted 2.7, and with being around 2.66/68 on arrival, we had a lay at around 2.68 max. The price then drifted out to our own price of 3.0 and beyond, so a chance for traders and builders to have a 'free' lay. The lay/trade was beaten, so a good result........

The 3rd runner we wanted 2.1, but a non runner and 18.2% reduction meant we now wanted a lay price of 1.9. The price was around 1.7 on arrival and shortening, so we had a lay at 1.7 max. The lay had to work very hard, but got the win and so the way it goes. Traders easily got their trade back prices in running, so got away with it.....

The 4th runner we wanted 3.5, and with being around 3.05 on arrival, we had a lay at around 3.05. The lay went and won a battle, so the way it goes again. Traders easily got their trade back prices in running, so got away with it.....

The 5th runner we wanted 2.1, but a non runner and 5.9% reduction meant we now wanted a lay price of 2.04. The price was around 2.02 on arrival, so we had a lay at around 2.02. The lay was beaten and so a good result..........(That's where I left the day)

The 6th runner we wanted 1.4, and with drifting to around 1.45 on arrival and only getting bigger, we had to avoid the race. The runner went and won, so glad of the drift now and a good leave......

The 7th runner we wanted 2.4, and with easily getting that price and shorter, we had a lay at 2.4 max. The lay went and won, so another favourite goes in and the way it goes.......

The 8th and final runner we wanted 1.8, and with easily getting that and shorter, we had a lay at 1.8 max. The lay was beaten, so a good result.......

WELL PLAYED/BATTLED.........(3 from the first 4 (75%) went and won - 5 from the first 7 (71.5%) went and won - and so a very very tough day, but pleased to say we dealt with it very well and limited any losses to a bare minimum, so very well played guys, and another tough day out the way)

'Rolling' strategy/target players (no 'free' lays for them) Ended Level..........They started their 1st strategy/target on the 2nd runner, and then after a good start, then a battle, they/we ended up breaking level on the 4th lay (the 5th runner) and so with being levels and only one potential lay left and no room at all for error, and with running out of enough potential lays left to start another strategy/target, we ended there at level.

'Bank building' strategy/target players started with a 'free' lay (the 2nd runner) that bought a tiny profit........They then had their 1st lay (the 3rd runner) at 1.7 max, but a poor result see them go behind.........They then had their 2nd lay (the 4th runner) at 3.05, but another poor result see them go further behind..........Then came their 3rd lay (the 5th runner) at 2.02 max, and a good result see them win a big chunk back...........They then had their 4th lay (the 7th runner) at 2.4 max, but a poor result see 4 runner builders concede 1.1 targets at the very worst on the day.....

5 runner builders went in search of their 5th and final lay, and they got it on the 8th runner at 1.8 max, and a good result see them break level.....

Traders either won, or broke level on all their trades, so with all those winners they'll certainly settle for that, so well played guys...

So a very tough session's work there, but pleased to say we dealt with it very well and did all we could. I left after the 5th runner and with breaking level, so the rest of the results mail is going by information off you guys, so well played and we dealt with the tough day really well....

**********************************************************

Morning.

Bank holiday Monday then, and the races, runners, and prices, to work around for today, as follows......

2.00 Kempton. SHAMPAGNE (2.88)

Our price 17/10 (2.7) and so no bets can be advised at current odds. If we see 2.4 or under, we'll go in for a lay. *Please note that a 'little' more emphasis has had to go on the early markets for clues, concerning this race*

3.05 Windsor. ROBIN THE TILL (2.56)

Our price 2/1 (3.0) and so a LAY is the call at current odds. We'd lay up to 2.7 or under. *Please note that more emphasis has had to go on the early markets for clues, concerning this race*

3.30 Kempton. AUSTINTATIOUS (1.99)

Our price 7/5 (2.4) and so a LAY is the call at current odds. We'd lay up to 2.1 or under. *Traders be aware that he's shown a tendency to race prominent over shorter trips, so no surprise to see a prominent display this afternoon, despite the longer trip - Also please note that a 'little' more emphasis has gone on the early markets for clues, concerning this race*

3.35 Windsor. TRANS SIBERIAN (3.25)

Our price 14/5 (3.8) and so a LAY is the call at current odds. We'd lay up to 3.5 or under. *Traders be aware that he has shown a tendency to race prominently in his races, so no surprise to see the same today, even though the trip a bit further than recently*

3.45 Warwick. STEVIE THUNDER (2.14)

Our price 7/5 (2.4) and so no bets can be advised at current odds. If we see 2.1 or under, we'll go in for a lay. *Traders be aware, that although he's shown he can race a couple of ways, it wouldn't be any surprise to see a prominent display this afternoon*

4.00 Kempton. KHATEEB (1.43)

Our price 3/5 (1.6) and so no bets can be advised at current odds. If we see 1.4 or under, we'll go in for a lay. *Traders be aware, that although lightly raced after only the one run, he did lead on that occasion, so no surprise to see the same tactics used today - Also please note that a 'little' more emphasis has gone on the early markets for clues, concerning this race*

4.15 Warwick. DIAMOND YAS (2.58)

Our price 17/10 (2.7) and so no bets can be advised at current odds. If we see 2.4 or under, we'll go in for a lay. *Please note that more emphasis has had to go on the early markets for clues, concerning this race*

5.30 Kempton. EXPENSIVE ART (1.83)

Our price 11/10 (2.1) and so no bets can be advised at current odds. If we see 1.8 or under, we'll go in for a lay.

All races priced up with non runners taken into account, up until 10:04am.

That's our work for today then! Not that many for a Bank Holiday to be honest, but better than there being far too many and all the times over-lapping each other, so glad it's like a normal day. Anyhow, never easy, especially with that unexposed nature leaving us vulnerable to drifts and gambles as we all know, but we do have enough within our armoury to warrant going into battle, so that's what we'll do. Discipline to the maximum and take advantage of any prices that come our way.

I myself will be cutting the afternoon short, as I'm playing in a Golf tournament this afternoon! nothing special as the winner gets a packet of crisps and a sausage roll, but all good fun and bragging rights galore!!! I don't tee off until 4.34 and so will probably play the first lot of races and then make my way down there. No difference to you guys, apart from the results mail may have a few races left off at the end. Anyhow, good luck and speak soon......
