Royal Ascot Wednesday
9 years 11 months ago - 9 years 11 months agoTodays Feature is the PRINCE OF WALES a 2000m for 4yo+. Likely fav will be the Dermot Weld trained Free Eagle who has top course and distance form( ran 3rd to noble mission in the champion stakes, holds Western Hymn) but has obviously got a few problems with only having 4 career runs .
I prefer Cannock Chase, not surprised to see that Ryan Moore has chosen to ride instead of the Grey Gatsby.Cannock has had a couple of decent Preps, he clearly ran as if he needed it at Sandown (faded late) and was out stayed by a well riden rival in the soft at Chester. He loves the course and distance winning at Royal ascot last year .. 7/1 with the worlds greatest booked looks a decent ew bet

Race1 Ivawood stakes a big class drop , ran Gleneagles very close last time in the Irish Guineas.. very hard to beat 7/4 atm, not sure that will get bigger or last long

Race 1 - Ivawood looks the obvious one but Toscanini is value at the weights around 16-1.
Race 2 - Kurland has the speed, won with a ton last time.... so should be competitive.
Race 4 - Western Hymn has come out and won both his runs this season, ground will be in his favour, if he has improved enough he may be capable of landing this but Gallop Chop ran a good second behind the Queen Anne winner Salow, was also ahead of WH when they last met, both eway chances.

Tougher card today with regards to outright winners.
Always Smile in the last looks progressive and the form of her last run has been extremely well advertised,so the 11 pound hike shouldn't be enough to stop her. Also won on to GF ground last time,as it is today.
Hardened into 5-2 from earlier this morning, but 5-2 still looks fair.

Like I said, very tough card though.

Race 1. the favourite 1. Ivawood could well win but I also like a bit of an outsider 12.Toscanini at 14/1.
Race 2. Plenty horses in the race - Some more value, I like 9. Delizia @9/1
Race 3. Tight race between the top 3.
Race 4 - The Grey Gatsby @6/1
Race 5. - Another tough race - pick your favourite name or number.
Race 6. -Osaila @11/1
