I am at the course and that is exactly what it appears happened, looks like a social responsibility thing by the Rising Sun.
A hell of a number of old people, giving them lunch and looking after them for the day.

Rising Sun wants to say thank you to all the current pensioners who supported the Rising Sun when it started in the 80's and without whom the paper would never have got off the ground.

Today illustrated what is wrong with racing and why I won't go to the track again, and why many won't go to the track but will stay at home and watch it on tv.
This was purely a marketing exercise for Rising Sun and very little to do with racing enthusiasts.
People bused in purely to see Zee Tv stars and stand a chance of winning a car etc.
Once the prizes were won, most were gone.
For the rest of us, standing outside, you could not hold a decent conversation save for the 3 minutes when the horses went down.
Way too loud music booming out. If you were not inside you could not hear anything, never mind interviews on big screens or Tv's.
Nothing to do with racing!!!
