R1 The form of those with any experience does not look the strongest to me, possibly Minnaroom would be my preference but a number could show improvement. Nevertheless, with two debutants out from the in form Bremner yard, one could take the spoils. Gift possibly had choice which would give the nod to Occasional Rebel but my preference is for Priceless Querari, her sire has produced a few first time winners and her half sister also won on debut.

R2 Wide open. There are a number closely matched on the Ultimate Sacrifice run and they must all have a chance but Sun Never Sets, returning to the 1000, looks easily the best value option imo. Blue Boy was in the vicinity that day and he was well behind Rebel Road previously, albeit when returning from a lengthy break and over 1200 but that race might still give an indicator that RR is the one to beat here, yet to go the minimum trip but hopefully that won't be a hindrance and the blinkers go on. Prior to his last run, which I am ignoring, his form lines look relatively decent compared to others here. Kings Blog back to the minimum will get R1 e/w at huge odds. Confidential Agent from the Sham yard was behind a few of these over 1200 on his local debut on yielding going, following an 18 week rest, in a race won by a stablemate. He faced some half-decent sorts in his brief Gauteng career and could make big improvement here but 6.6l to find with Blue Door might be a challenge. Momentous is the current favourite and has Danielson up but the stable also has a debutant up whose only full sister, Pirates Queen (also Jooste/Lang), was a relatively useful sprinter. Almost any could win it but I'll go... Rebel Road x Pirates Queen x Sun Never Sets

R5 Strong Scent something of a ? but at the weights on recent runs to Fascinating Filly and Coco, I think Belle Coco a pretty decent price. Stablemate Dover Beach and Music Affair thereabouts too.

R6 Open. Possibly might just need it after a 10 week break but back on the turf over 2000, and at the weights and draws, on the run to Bride's Dowry if nothing else, London Theatre looks to be decent e/w value to me. Up in trip, Goldiva showed good improvement lto and but for the draw might have won imo. It could be the same today and a definite contender for me. Take Off R2 e/w and Byronybrightwater R1 e/w.

R7 Mesmerise might be glad to be back on better going over a distance he has won 4 times in 7 runs...

R8 At the weights/draw I think Dancinginthedesert must have a fair chance of overturning the form with Starspangledemblem on their run behind Seattle Storm. DITD finished ahead of SSE in their three previous meetings prior to that. At 4 times the price DITD seems a decent e/w shout but, as always, won't want a poor start. Soleil Royal would be of much bigger interest from a better draw and given that, the stablemate Power Wind is imo well worth a look from the 1 box. Have done e/w's on both DITD and PW with a slight preference for PW given the 1 box and the potential for a problem with DITD at the start.

Be(s)t of luck to all

Col, in truth bud, I have backed no less than 5 horses in that 2nd race and I still think the likelihood is I won' have done the winner! But, some good prices there if people like one of the roughies imo.
