.....I am some what surprised that this competition is going forward as Racing South Africa PTY Ltd is in limbo and as yet cannot justify their function as a fully recognised neutral party to carry on with lobbying for AHS research and export protocols. Without playing the man, how can Peter Gibson still be hanging onto the CEO position at RSA and be employed by the TBA. This flies in the face of the alternative sales company being the CTS.
Racing South Africa should be a completely neutral body, and should be working with all the stakeholders in our racing and breeding industry. Even one of Peter's biggest detractors has said on many occasion "the AHS problem is a political issue and not a scientific solution"
In the past this competition although well supported missed its mark in trying to highlight AHS awareness and Racing South Africa's function in trying to resolve the various issues that affect the export of our bloodstock.
I commend Peter for trying to keep Racing South Africa afloat and see that the support people he surrounded himself with are still given viable employment but he cannot carry on wearing two hats, and as they say "if you cannot piss in the pot, move over and give someone else a turn.....

1: racing thinking they are more important then the punter
2: racing folk too scared to tell the truth
3: racing folk hiding important information from the punter

whats this got to do with it? i`m trying to promote a competition that only does good for charity and your using the threads for gripes...
Start seperate threads have your say ...thats all
This competition has been a great success from the start or it would have stopped after the first year or so

.....Bob I would like to have started another thread on this matter.....it's about the elephant in the room.....everyone knows it's there but no one wants to talk about it.....remember with all charities the lions share goes to the organizer and in this case RSA....how much will actually get to the AHS Trust....
