Some pretty ugly shit in PE

We all know there has been groom strikes in many yards in PE
anyone heard anything?

Im going to cause some shit the next few days, and if i can get confirmed some of the shit ive heard... eish

Thats all for now will leave a few to soak in their own sweat

A prominent trainers Head groom and leader of the grooms orders an attack ( seemingly ) on Yvettes office ( I've seen pics ) during a strike a week or so ago

This head groom hid in the background

This head groom still has his job as the prominent trainer does nothing

Bob I have no idea what is happening In PE but this does not sound very good at all. What happened to SANGATA and Peter Naidoo and Trevor Raath? Surely these fine upstanding gentlemen will have their members under control? Surely they can give you the info that you need?

OTA there are different fractions involved , not sure Singata speaks for everyone

I'm actually not sure what can be done about this ? Phum say grooms are employed by trainers and if trainers turn a blind eye ?

That may be true ,but the NHA can't stick their heads up their bums ..........its bringing racing into disrepute!

Call Larry Bob he will update you.. I do know of an attack on Friday on a assistant trainer I think but I can only confirm that with you once I've asked the person involved..

Oscar it was actually Wednesday in the saddling enclosure and was witnessed by other grooms and a fellow assistant

Was reported to Smith ( oops ) and Paddock and paddock went looking for the groom, but the groom had vanished.. I don't think the incident was reported to or followed up by the NHRA

Here is the message I recieved

19 yr old female stable employee attacked at Fairview on Wed races in holding area by a fellow stable employee over a water bottle being misplaced. She was grabbed around the throat then slapped in the face and pushed against a wall. Also had her life threatened. The Agent boss has yet to do anything about it.

Ok mate there were other things that happened on Friday after that incident but I will rather stay out of this its going to be a difficult thing to sort out probably and their are HR laws which cover this type of thing

Sounds a bit beyond a racing labour issue!
I would have thought a criminal act of assault at best .....and maybe much worse!

My friend Sipho who is a groom is very unhappy. He feels that the statue at the Vaal entrance is a symbol of our colonial past and should be removed. I understand from him that the EFF and ANC members will be chaining themselves to the statue at the next meeting until the statue is removed.
