I have often been asked to photograph yearlings with lofty pedigrees and often the specimen does not quite match up to the magnificent pedigree boasting an superstar dam and a top sire. Yet this year I can honestly say that when I was asked to photograph the first foal of star mare River Jetez, my breath was taken away. I have never seen such an imposing colt with such action and such presence! He knows he is special. Wow

So here are three photos so you can enjoy the spectacular colt that is Rivarine. By Var out of River Jetez he will be offered for sale as Lot 32 on the Cape Premier Yearling Sale.

Nothing seems will come close to the River Jetez foal who looks ridiculous but I like lot 8 by black Minnaloushe to go for a few pound. He looks well grown and I like his damsire, Alzao. Also he should go a trip and could be a classic horse.

I thought lot 8 very well bought for 300k. He is a smashing looker and has nice scope, the dam is unproven but that is the cheap ones you can get.
