Winning Ways-12/1/15

Anybody watching the show and hear the interaction between The Good and MdK....................the failures being discussed relating to exports, was almost unbelievable!
I have heard MdK have a go before but he was exasperated and speechless.
The problem with an industry that is incompetent it gets worse for a long time before it gets better......the sooner the " birds of a feather" pattern is broken, the better!

In a nutshell, that's always been my attitude.....since the mid nineties.
The "Club" approach has cost racing big time. The so called "Club" mentality believed that outsiders don't understand the needs of racing. Meanwhile they, the stake holders and bingo club members are now "swimming".
Gold Circle "set up" are/were the biggest culprits. Now look at them, they can't even stand alone. Their asset base is a joke. Balance Sheet poor. It goes on and on.
I agree with you Rob Faux ...happy clubbing

I will watch but the frustration level on the topic must be mind blowing for MDK.
its another case where red tape kills common sense and keeps SA in the dark and back foot when we should be flying with our superb horse flesh.

I don't know all the details, but it appears that SA was afforded an opportunity to present a position and I wnder what the excuse for failure to do so ,will be!
A guess......somebody thought somebody else had it covered!!!!!!!
Goes to the heart of my ongoing frustration with the culture of the industry-"not my job so not my fault"

.....but Racing SA was funded and tasked with the mission to get this right....now that it has been disbanded or so they say.....something must be done.....not only on the AHS protocols which is still being funded ....but some one to tackle the political issues with DTI and other NGO's.....they say that they cannot find the right animal for this job.....FFS if the office is in KZN and DTI in Gauteng already the travel budget will be greater than the salary....

If you read the letter from Winfried Engelbrecht-Bresges who is the Hong Kong Racing Manager you will realise how incompetent our so called AHS experts are.
As Mike said we knew in May about this meeting.
