CnC its not only about the money, this horse should never have run. Full stop ! If there was any other jock on his back he would have been pulled up 200m after leaving the shoot and returned to the saddling enclosure.

if that's the case neigh then surely the jockey club and the authorities should take action. Punters should now talk with their wallets and refrain from betting in just one race the next time they run in Durban. That will soon change the mindset. I apologise if I offended you or anyone else with my comment.

dennis drier has never made any secrets of hoponono having plenty problems and the fact that he was off for a year is testament to that...its not like the horse finished tailed off last he did finish 4th beaten 3 lengths so maybe that's just him and iv seen many a horse have a habit of going down like he needs a wheelchair and come back running a smart race...just watch jimmy jagga go down next time to name but one,,,,we talking about a top top trainer here who has trained more winners than I have eaten breakfasts and he wouldn't put horses lives or jockeys for that matter in any danger..like I said he did run 4th not beaten out of sight ...

oh ok that puts it into a different perspective for me. Reading the posts I thought that the horse finished a distant last

Have to agree............In my book one of the most respectable stables racing in the country.
Many of the very best sprinters, also tend to have chronic soundness problems.......have seen many a top sprinter, over the years, go down to the start "as sore as a boil"
