A few thoughts on the poly races...
R1 Shorter in the market than I think she should be but I'll go with Ginger Biscuit as the one they have to beat. Midnight Lace for the exacta and Varanese the trifecta. Laugh coming back from a long rest might spoil the party but I suppose we will only find out about fitness etc a couple of minutes before the off. Big help, cheers lol. The booking of Khumalo though could imply she is ready to go...
R2 There could be one or two big improvers here, most notably perhaps White Christmas (in KZN??? lol), but I am quite strong on Dark Liability, looks very much the one they have to beat. Balado could go closest and add some value to exactas, excuses lto and the stable in very strong form, the 1 box might also help. Decent effort from Royal Champion when returning from a break and if coming on for the run could be the trifecta horse.
R3 Pure Spice will likely be a player if bringing the form of her last turf effort to the Poly but she has yet to convince in 2 runs here, though there may have been valid reasons for them, I guess we will only know more AFTER the race (transparency transparency transparency!!). My shout goes to Shezamatador, narrowly, over Diana's Jet. On some form lines they look very closely matched but i just think the former may have the better kick at the death. Elusive Lady might edge Ile De Fiesta for the trifecta spot.
R4 For me, more of a race to watch and see who answers the questions than one to have a, to me, risky bet on. Roy's Flyer x On My Wits Alone x Vintage Angel
R5 Blaze The Trail is consistent but does seem to be something of a bridesmaid. Nevertheless, he is my marginal preference here over Nordic Jet who, coming from a wide draw, might find the weight telling at the death. Priceless Gem likely to be right there while the big jump back to, probably, a more suitable distance for His Approval on 3rd run after a break is a real nagger for me. Those 4 would form my quartet but despite the widest draw, Jonovich must have a big chance if taking to the surface and only a couple I gave virtually no chance. Could be a very competitive affair.
R6 I do like Hoopononopo to win, two good runs since lengthy rest and possible there is plenty still to come but, could be more competitive than the betting suggests. The value could lie with Rocky Bay off a low weight, possibly likes further but a decent performance three runs back over c/d from the widest draw when behind Libertine and, though I think the latter will also not be too far away, I have to favour RNB with a big swing in the weights and a much better draw. Lots to like too about Fortissimo and if playing exotics I would be including. Plenty others have at least a place chance, could be a decent race.
Be(s)t of luck to all

The two turf races, also pretty competitive... don't feint Craig E but it is possible I might even enjoy a Greyville meeting... tis a miracle!
R7 Kingston Boy would be something of a risk imo at the distance so passed over here as a watching brief. Acapulco returning from a rest, also a pass. Would not surprise me though if either won. I think Zestful might just get the better of Isobar in filling the places but I'll go with Royal Zulu Guard, better off with Isobar at the weights on their run to King of Torts and in very good, consistent form since the blinkers were removed.
R8 I would love to say Chill to finally get back in the winner's enclosure for Craig but, I think he might just find one too good again in the form of Lucky Break who has been going well on the Poly. Slight concern that some of the turf form post maiden win were not the best but possible excuses and, hopefully, it was simply a blip. Live Controversy for the trifecta spot.

R6 - BELLICOSITY - Will take my chances on this one. Backed him last time, stumbled at the start and was all over the place - If Smanga gets him to the front could be a good E/W bet

Went to Greyville a few times whilst on holiday and I must say I was very impressed. Course was in great nick, hope it stays like that. There was also great entertainment organised for the kids so my wife and I could relax and enjoy the racing while we know they were being well looked after. Well done Gold Circle.
Back to tonight's racing, the poly races look similar to last week with the favorites dominating. Will be playing a treble on Ginger Biscuit (Race 1), Dark Liability (Race 2) and Ho'oponopono (Race 6), Can get around 12/1 on the treble. All three are my bipot bankers.
