Haven't seen the printed one, but the online version does contain the 800 and 400 positions - they just have elected to take away the headings
Also I would rather have 2 or 3 pages in the beginning where the runners in all the races are listed per race - rather than the tipping sheet
For the rest it looks fine to me

Why don't we give it a chance before slating it,we are all used to reading the old Computaform so it does feel a little strange until we get used to the new one.

I used to collect the Computaforms and file the Fotoforms for each province with the sole reason being the running positions, 800/400/200/finish.
The Fotoforms then got censored with the 200 mt photos discontinued and the quality or the filming of the horses piss poor.
Now there will be NO need to buy a Computaform anyway, with the SPORTING POST, WINNING FORM and FORMGRIDS, all the info is there for any form student.

I have been using Computaform for over 30 years and it was always a simple layout and In my opinion they could have enhanced it (and added a couple of the factors of the new format) without making such sweeping changes as it is now incredibly cluttered, and without headings for columns.
In my opinion it is much more complicated for experienced punters, never mind a newbie, which contradicts the "it's a rush" promise of not wanting to confuse new punters.
The old left hand/right hand problem perhaps!
(Not looking forward to The organ grinder and assistant sitting on the couch soon, telling us how lucky we are that they have sorted all our problems for us!!!)

TOTAL BULLSHIT...that's what the new computaform is!!!At least they giving us an option of downloading the old or new 1...so thank you for that....PLEEEEEAAAASE don't get rid of the old 1!!! As to put this politely...if you had a clue abt anything revolving tipping/punting...you would realise the OLD COMPUTAFORM is miles ahead of ANYTHING!!!!!!!

i agree with most on the topic . I think some of the additional info is most welcomed , but not at the expense of certain features that have been lost . The grid with all the races in front is the first thing i look at when buying the computa form . i use it to highlight my best for the day plus its a quick reference . The printing in the new one is poor . Some print is smudgy . The collateral form section is hardly visible , the fonts are so small . The grid lines are gone now i have to try track each line of info , its tedious . I hope the publicists sort out all these issues .

It's cluttered with too much useless information, the former format didn't have half the information, and it worked. I agree with Shrek, regards the 400 to finish ""information" which has been discarded. Guess like all things in life, they can't go back, sadly.
Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

Not really Bob. Who is really interested in 4th run after a rest, jockey/horse, jockey/trainer partnerships, how many days since last raced, how many days since last win, the two latter bits were always there for all to see. If horses ran to statistics, nobody would have a day job.
The previous publication, when was the last time they made an alteration to the publication, other than adding the collateral form (section).
The beauty of it all, the users of the Computaform were not complaining about the lack of information in the publication (as it was), some bunch of rocket scientists took it upon themselves to change the format, what for an extra R5.00?
Sometimes the connotation "more is less" is true.
