Race7, Choice Carriers Fillies Championship: #2 DOUBLE WHAMMY; going for four-in-a-row; easy and impressive in her penultimate start and still had fuel left in the tank in her Diana win; on MR's has the best weight advantage; jockey Cheyne is hot; I think worth 3's, 28/10 is around, ask for 4's.

Prosperous punting

As posted on the Greyville thread, two on today's card I am hoping will win are (R2) Generalissimo and (R3) Star Of Paris.

Despite Generalissimo carrying 59.0kgs, he is well in with the other 3 year olds and 4 year old, Another Idea. The worry is the 62 day rest and first time at Kenilworth, but he does appear to be an above average sprinter. Whilst the odds are very restrictive, throw him in a multiple and double the odds.

Star of Paris has put up two really solid performances, just hope she doesn't find another one to pip her again. Doesn't have the most ideal draw and there doesn't look to be a decent pacemaker which has to be a worry. On exposed form, she is the one to beat.

Not as confident, but I think Marshall/Byleveld can go close with both Jay Jay's Wild and Jet Set Go.
Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

Anyone know why Mike Bass hasn't put up his pre-race comments? Race 4 Smart D'Argent looks value @16's. ran a solid third and he's been given further now which is what Bass said he was looking for. Should run a decent race.

This is a very good Bet.

Ticks all the right boxes.

Should get 20's.

Only danger is Jay Jays Wild.

I tend to view these sort of issues like this. As an accumulative, the bookies have a wider network when it comes to gathering information on a horse's winning chances, than the punter. The fact that the horse is now double the odds should be a warning, especially as ML pointed out, it ran a solid 3rd last time out. In your favour, the horse has no clue it's on a wicked drift, and will run as well as it feels, BUT, bookies are not in the business to give money away. If it's any consolation, one of the ABC members backed the Yogas Govender Met winner despite the drift from 50's to around 80 or 85/1, didn't put him off. Follow you gut as they say.
