Full amount is not carried over to next meeting...so, what is happening to the interest on those (now sizeable) funds ?? Into the coffers of the operators and then onwards to shareholders ??

Spot on........................pick6 pools can only be compared to previous pools.
It would be interesting to see the P6 pools trended over the last few months,by centre!

I am not absolutely certain of the carry over rules but believe that the following should apply.
80% of a carryover should remain in the same racing centre and carry over to the next meeting.
20% of carry overs should accumulate and be used as a mega pool at a meeting determined well in advance and that this pool should be rotated round all racing centres ( Maybe 14 a year then everybody gets it twice.). There is no point in using the July or Met for these pools because everybody has a go anyway.

As in previous threads here, with the new P6 format it has become to expensive for the average punter. Jackpot is more attractive and the dividends better for a smaller outlay.

The question is,whether the new investments (ie excluding c/o portions) is supporting that view.
There were people monitoring those stats so would be interesting(I don't trust the operators claims- I think they include c/o's in their pool claims))

It's clear from the comments that most of you are not enjoying the current longer multi-leg format and with fractional betting apparently no longer available on jackpots most smaller punters have again been kicked in the teeth.
All of the issues that you are debating around carry overs and giving the punter a fair chance of winning is a part of Scoreline, the new bet that we are busy promoting.
Sounds like you might enjoy a new, more fair bet type with a much bigger winning potential.
Would love to have your informed comments.

10 years 9 months agowhere did u hear that fractional betting is no longer available on jackpots????????it is available..the exotic pools have definitely increased lately and imo the bookies who previously offered the open bet mite be the reason why they have increasedLSU wrote: It's clear from the comments that most of you are not enjoying the current longer multi-leg format and with fractional betting apparently no longer available on jackpots most smaller punters have again been kicked in the teeth.
