"HOT TICKET"

My advice is play safe early in P6 I have got a lurker around

Hot Ticket certainly best horse in the race by far, but just feel he might need a galloping track with longer straight.
Joburg form not holding up for the 'smaller' stables.
I will go wide in one P6 and then also banker first and last legs in the other.

Hot Ticket Last run was a good one but you have to watch out for Storm warming and Marcus sitting on Canterbury Tale with 55.5kg , the first leg of the P6 is a tricky one, not that confident that hot ticket is a banker

For me I agree Hot Ticket has a lot to do with top weight and much too short in the betting; I think both Gothic and especially Storm Warning look the value at current odds

I am going to side with Mr Legislate (Noordhoek Ice), even if we only agree once in our lifetime. However not for the same reasons as expressed by him. If the merit rating system works, then Hot Ticket has the majority of the field under pressure at the weights. From numbers 9 through to 14, they are under sufferance and shouldn't get close to HT. Gothic is correctly weighted, however he is a two time winner as opposed to HT who is a 5 time winner. Had this been a true handicap race then Gothic would have received much more weight from HT than he is currently receiving. You could argue the same principle should apply between Seal (10 time winner) and HT (5 time winner), yet they are level weighted. Again I would side with HT based purely on current form. I think Kannemeyer has placed HT very well and this horse could be better than rated. The course shouldn't be a problem, HT will be very difficult to beat.
