Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

When at Clairwood last week, I saw Louis and Rakes, as they kingly gave me an overnight stable for my runner. Louis just looks to be popping to me. His gallop confirmed. So, I am with the Scorpion on this one.

I saw a twinkle in Woody's eye when he was asked about LTK after that gallop so I'll be Shea rather than Marcus. Imagine the headlines if the TC winner takes the July too!!(I do have the utmost respect for Fourie's "Champion" - Legislate- and CTN who seemed to enjoy those blinkers)

Just managed to watch the gallop of LTK and RC and read all the posts based on the gallop. Also listened to the Woodruff interview and as a RC fan, I'm not too disappointed with his gallop. Woodruff did say they are both better suited at running at the leaders rather than racing upfront, so in a two horse gallop someone had to lead. Word of warning, don't read too much into the gallop regards RC.

I see louis and rakes gallop like this, marcus was working out if he can lead and quicken to get a break on louis but now realises he will have to sit off the pace with louis and I personally don't believe he will quicken like louis will just my opinion

Just listened to Kevin Shea's selections for top four finishers and he did not mention Legislate. That's coming from the jockey who ran third in the DN 2000. He did include Rake's Chestnut though. I get the feeling he thinks both the Woodruff runners will be better suited to the extra furlong than Legislate. Laff tried to make light of Shea's selections saying, "What, no Legislate in the top 4, Justin Snaith has just fainted".
