The British media do not hate Saurez. If it were anybody else including an English player , they would be going on just the same. Big stories sell papers and the more that they can get out of the story the more money they make.

Yes anything to sell. But there is an element of double standards. No whispers when Dylan Hartly was included in the rugby squad, a player who is a serial offender and bit a chunk out of a fellow players finger......

Rugby is secondary here Alterego and most people don't really bother with the foul play as its "expected" Although Hartly plays for England he is a Kiwi. ( yes yet another foreigner who represents England)

A familiar trend, hero when they doing well, disowned when they not..... KP?
But this is about suarez, the backlash was expected considering he plays in the epl and he was the architect of englands failure to get through. As much as the english media are merciless, they are still english and will remain patriotic. No harm in that, its the same everywhere.

Just a thought , Rugby has changed and so does football need to change if it is to remain the awesome game that it is . When there is foul play in rugby the incident is viewed by the ref on the staduim TV and a descision is made to either send off or warn. if the same is applied to football a incident of a player going down in the penalty are can be viewed and if warranted a penalty given and the offending player sanctioned , if it is in the opinion of the ref a dive send the offender to the dugout for 10 minutes and let the game continue maybe this way the constant cheating will maybe stop.

This is what the health experts have say on health24
If Luis Suarez had attempted to bite someone in South Africa, he would have had to face up to a six month jail time, as human biting is categorized as a “peculiar form of assault.”
While human biting may seem like a small matter, 5 to 20 percent of all biting cases are a result from human biting. Additionally, human bites are often much harder to treat than animal bites, as the human mouth can carry up to 100 million organisms per millimetre, representing almost 200 different species of bacteria. Due to these high levels of bacteria, human bites that break the skin have a high risk of infection. Furthermore, Hepatitis B and C, HIV, herpes and rabies can all be past via a human bite:
