The man is clearly deranged and needs certification ,but it is funny how biting is perceived by all of us as particularly horrifying,(just couldn't believe what I was seeing last night) but in reality can't do nearly as much damage as some of the leg breaking and crippling tackles we often see.............lol

Seems to me that not only is Suarez a thug but that his colleagues are too. They are suggesting, as is he, that he didn't bite Chiellini. I suppose he was kissing him then.
Old scars ???? %$#% me!!!!!
But for the deplorable abomination that was I suppose one could say...what a joke!

It is the act of a deranged man...100% Rob.
It is particularly horrifying because it was unprovoked, in that moment, and could never assist his side to win back the ball. The ball wasn't even nearby (if memory serves). Unlike some of the leg breaking badly timed tackles.
It is the worst kind of savagery...biting an unsuspecting opponent (he did it from behind aswell). Face the man and head butt him, moer him, stomp on him if you must (all with punitive ramifications)...but bite him? What is this oke...a rabid pitbull?

What ever happened to the South African Johan Le Roux after biting the All Blacks captain?

South African rugby player Johan Le Roux bit New Zealand's Sean Fitzpatrick's ear during a real scrum in 1994. After learning of his lengthy suspension, Le Roux said, "For an 18-month suspension, I feel I probably should have torn it off."

Evander Holyfield...in mitigation, he said that Holyfield was using his head to butt him and when he complained to the referee, nothing was done so he took matters into his own mouth...

I totally agree Greg...they are truly a bunch of thugs and should be thrown out of the WC. Harsh I know and it won't happen, obviously, but that is the least that they deserve in light of the fact that they are suggesting that he did nothing wrong. They should be distancing themselves from him and should have already sent him home. (It is blatantly obvious that he bit Chiellini...the whole world has seen it) This will at lease afford his fellow countrymen and team mates with a sense of dignity and fair play. But no, quite the contrary, for now they suggest the media and Chiellini himself are to blame. Not their racist, chomping, diving, conniving and general all round cheating thug - glory boy. He is an insult to all that is good and fair in sport and we shouldn't have to put up with him on a sports field ever again.
Suarez was hailed a hero when he cheated Ghana out of a victory in the last world cup. I suspect he will be greated a hero with a ticker tape parade when he returns home for thwarting Italy as well. Leaving all and sundry with a seriously negative impression of Uruguay as a whole.

Abacus apparently not the first time he has tried to get a bite out of Chiellini's shoulder, he was unsuccessful in the confederations cup 2013...:
