Will be interesting to see where Jackodore goes from here. Watch this space............................

As stated elsewhere in this thread, punters are getting gatvol of results and explanations in local racing...........................don't blame the migration to overseas racing and Sports Betting on anything else, or the wane of interest in horse-racing altogether.(td)

The Independent Complaints Directorate (ICD) investigates the South African Police for devious doings. Who investigates the NHRA for wrong doing ? Sometimes there are inner circles in corporate companies, commissions and investigating bodies themselves. Just saying.

Mike, are you trying to say that this happens only in SA ? Pity you, if you are....
I see horses overseas that are not striding and don't see reports and pre race reports etc. Thats, unfortunately, racing...

I'm not sure how that track is running - it reminds me of the way it ran 4 or so years ago - If you got to the front before the straight you would be hard pressed to miss a place - Winning distances were inflated and if you were not drawn well you were gone - Maybe LG can tell us how the track is running at the moment

What I meant was, that far too many horses being beaten gaps , meaning some must have not been ridden all the way to the line when beaten

Just saw the replay of striker dropping his lip and refusing to give his opinion, its leads me to thank the betting clan for spreading the message, we as the punter deserve to have our voices heard hopefully they will read the positive ideas on this forum as well

My conclusion on this chapter......................................

In another era I know what a few of the other top-notch conditioners would have done, put on an unfashionable jock or appie and the horse would have drifted out in the betting, run it's race early and no tantrums b'cos jockeys influence punter's.

P.S. Must add that jockeys influence Bookies pricing decisions plenty.

Agree on that. On winning ways, this was also mentioned that in KZN Marcus and Delpech mounts are priced up a few points shorter. IMO the the lack of info will often lead to the assumption that one is being misled. My personal view is that this remains a game of chance, a gamble, no matter how much info and form we have at our disposal. Horses can be unpredictable and difficult to read. eg. last Sunday Hammies Hooker went down to the start very short so much so that the commentator thought she would be scratched, she almost won the race.
