possible solution for internet users, Formgrids places a entry point for jockey and trainer to type quick two liner per runner, the standard ''nothing to report'' already there so just one click and not too much typing to do report for pre and post comment on racecard and result page on formgrids, Nhra makes it rule that it must be done, punters ect get valuable info, but then again why bother to try do new and correct things for an industry that dont give a damm or support

11 years 1 month agoPiere also confirmed that while he had been approached, he was not involved in any tipping services currently and that if anybody was paying for any information allegedly provided in his name, they were ‘being handled.’

Stop Press...............................Late final on this episode.
Respected Tipster Jack Milner wrote in his preview on the Tabonline website.........................
QUOTE
" The Queen of the Sand also looks a two horse race with one unknown factor.
Jackodore has been supreme on the sand of late and in her last start destroyed a similar field over 1450mts. Formation ran over 4 lengths back but could get closer over the extra 150 mts.THE BALANCE OF THE OPPOSITION LOOK WELL HELD."

And then, Mike, sometimes a horse is just not sound come racetime, maybe worse than normal, probably not quantified before. Jack had to write his column beforehand. You obviously backed Jackodore. So you and Jack are in the same boat.... As myself and many others.
Point is that it can and does happen, that a horse is feeling something. Its a fact of racing, worldwide. On form, I agree with Jack....and so did you.

Are there any trainers and jockeys that will be making use of this tool in the immediate future............................:S
A lot of them are regular uses of Formgrids, one would assume, and it could give tipsters and punters valuable info as Mr.A. puts it.

Re: Re: JACKADORE.........There should be an investigation into...................

jockeys and trainers use Formgrids all the time, we have over 800 SA users every day
when horses are entered into a race the public are encouraged and invited to place a bet on the outcome of the race and we can only use the tote or bookmakers by law, then the race becomes public and the public should have the the right to the same information that the stable and the jockey have,
im not saying for one minute that we want stable OPINIONS from the trainer or jockey as to where they think the horse will finish, but how can we be expected to bet on horses in races when we have no info on their prep or quirks, or ills, etc, this is one of the reasons the game is dwindling and punters are migrating to other forms of gaming,
the owner races for STAKES which betting pools filled by the betting public contribute to, so just give the public the obvious little bits like Pierre gave the public on JACKADORE, to me that is a must, and i commend him for the courage he showed by parting with that valuable piece of infomation, putting himself in the line of fire, some times the info will backfire and we must accept it and not see spooks or go on witch hunts ,,
Strydom, Charlie Laird and a few others do their best to guide punters and this should be built upon, and Formgrids is a tool for the man that wants to go deeper into being informed, so with industry co-operation Formgrids can add a coloumn for jockey/trainer/offical handicapper comments, we can make it easy for the comments to be uploaded using pre selected already typed comments that need just one click, but we need industry co-operation to get it working right, and co-operation is exactly what i dont get when i try get the ''bosses of racing'' to build on what i have started with ''FORMGRIDS'',,, i get told i must turn my gift to racing into a business and charge the punters coz the bosses arent willing to put one cent into Formgrids
if i wanted to make money out of racing i would have kept Formgrids to myself and just punted, ask the 13 or so Bruma bookmakers who faced us in the mid nineties before i walked away from the game, we were winning close to 2m per bet,,, in the end we had to let bookies change amounts on winning tickets after the race in order for them to be able to settle us, ask around if you doubt this,,,, i started the SA racegoers association in the 80's after the Gyros fiasco and fought for punters rights for many years and after the handling of the Flaming gun incident in the mid 90's i realised and accepted that things were never going to change, racing was not run correctly to cater for the real professional player so i got out cause bad calls by the authorities were getting to me,,,
by the way Citizen racing reporter and commentator Peter Duffield and myself on SABC's tv NETWORK program which aired after the never missed 8 oclock predicted the slump which hit racing and we were correct ,,,, they reason i gave Formgrids to the industry was to help revive racing,,,
