And the front runner that put in so much effort over the previous hurdles that it stumbles on the last one ??

Fairplay TN. Will be sad, but no shame in an outsider falling at the last hurdle of a big race. Already won the hearts of many. Only guarantee is that there will be tears in my household at end of the season, either way

Remember watching the 1989/1990 season finale with my brother (the Liverpool supporter...he had a car accident but still made his way to the CL final a few years ago when Liverpool won) and that was a humdinger of a finish...

that's the match that Arsenal needed to score 2 more than Liverpool. Arsenal scored the 2nd with seconds left to win 2-0 and clinch the title at Anfield on the last day of the season.

I am afraid that my soft spot for Liverpool disappeared on Sunday afternoon. After Tony Book, Joe Corrigan and Buzzer handed over a wreath before kick off and the travelling supporters were 100% respectful of the occasion I thought that it was totally uncalled for that the home supporters continually booed every time City had the ball. Maybe they were showing their true colours.

Problem is that we get good and bad with all supporters and religions and races so it's difficult or impossible to label a group as being the same.
Ps I would be happy for Liverpool they gave us many years of great football ( especially that special European cup win )
