And Elgar throws it away after very good inning...see that de Kock in before Duminy...is Duminy the spinning all-rounder in the team ?? No place for people based on how they have done in the past...average currently low 30's...would be dropped from franchise team if he performed at that level there...

Yip - just got impatient - but I think he has shown enough guts to keep his place - -still imo does not have quite the right technique to be an opener :S

agreed Frodo, and after that knock he has to be given a chance at Newlands. He really dug in and as you say showed that he has guts

Kak shot, you expect a quality batsman to work hard through tough times and reach a 100. Quality players do that, he'll no doubt learn from that innings.

De Kock what an idiot, just over 3 overs before the new ball and you play a shot like that. If he keeps playing shots like that it will be a very short test career.

Another KAK (QDK) shot, this is test cricket, not hit and giggle stuff, you need to show discipline and hard work.

Needs experience at this (test) level - still young - has the talent - got to nurture it (tu)

Think this is heading for a draw already - same k*k PE pitch as always - ball not coming on, can't play shots, only way to get out after the new ball is to throw yr wicket away

At least more resilience shown. Unfortunately QdeK was shown up by his [and others belief} that he is good enough to play in the big league. Talent and arrogance in the big game only works for a selective few. We are far from out of the woods.
