Durban July - Packages

I know it is early but due to the ZAR / Euro exchange rate my betterest half and I have decided to can europe this year !{sulk}..... and do some local stuff.... and as I have never been to the July we want to tick that off the bucket list.

So from here on in I would appreciate feedback on available packages etc. as they are known. As my gal says... 'I will go.... as long as we not in amongst the sweaty masses' ... Lol... no she is not a snob.. just not interested enough in horseracing to go sit in the stands....

Depending on your pocket, there are some really good sites. Im hoping for box this year as I have done the tents enough. Also the tents have more party goers than racing enthusiasts and as much as i enjoy a pot and a party the money i spend on that day i want the racing experience.

LOL..... yup, I went to some feature meeting at Greyville ... suit and sandals.. the okes in their tuxes checking access did not know what to make of it ... looked at me looked at my feet, looked at me looked at my feet.... I just ignored them and walked in... old Bloodshot was with...

Entrance tickets are R200.00, and parking tickets are R100.00 they can be purchased at Greyville Racecourse, and various tote outlets, from 1 June 2014. Entrance tickets will be available for sale on the raceday while stocks last. Parking tickets can only be purchased prior to the day. Entrance and parking tickets cannot be purchased on line. We have three restaurants available to the public for bookings; all offer a buffet menu with various table sizes.



Sea Cottage Restaurant – 3rd Floor

R720.00 - price includes racecourse entrance ticket.

Bookings are taken on a first come first served basis



Yataghan Restaurant - 1st Floor

R585.00 price includes entrance ticket.

Bookings are taken on a first come first served basis.



Durban View Restaurant – 1st Floor Winning Post

R1850.00 Price includes racecourse entrance ticket.



With regard to our Durban View restaurant, tables are allocated on a ballot system, Bookings can be made by submitting an email or letter sent to Gail bookings close on 31 March 2014 and tables are allocated in April 2014.
