171 views but guess the Met thread tired the punters out?
I am sure weather fine and to be honest have not had a look yet
Bacon rolls, coffee then punting time

Course looks fine. Yesterday was outer course, today is inner. On thursday, grass looked longer on outside of this course, but they have cut since. To me it looks like the inside is still better than the outside....... but I notice what seems to be a strip just inside of tne middle, about 4 to 7 horses from the inside.... but thats just my eye, only racing will tell.
Since yesterday morning early, we measure 10,5mm in our rainguage in the yard. Will forward pen readings when I have them.

Louis I remember in the old days when there was only one track Van Wyk decided to go alone on one side while the field kept to the other and he duly won. Do you as trainers ever tell the jocks to try the unknown going to see how bad/good it is? Sometimes I think everyone fighting for one strip of going really causes more harm than good (look at Marcus yesterday not trying for the rail and having no problems in the race)

I remember that race as clear as yesterday....It was Gavin van Zyl and not Rhys van Wyk. As they came around the bend Gavin made a beeline for the outside rail and won easing up. In the races thereafter, every jock went to the outside.

I remember Van Wyk doing it for either a Hemming or Stenger horse over the 1600m straight Vaal not the bend - When they started the 1600m straight jocks kept to one side and bunched up - I think it was the outside rail and Van Wyk jumped from his draw and kept to that rail and was clear of the rest who followed the inside and won as he liked
