Stanley knows his stuff and will be the one to beat. El Senorita is well. I have left her in for next week over 1400m, so not a bad call from JAP.
But she ran on very well over 1000m first time and I would not write her off today. We wont be putting our heads down, but will do our best.
Interestingly, the two are drawn alongside each other and both jocks are great strategists in a race. Worth watching.

There are others at big prices that I will be having a small interest in (Return of the Roar and ChipnPutt are but two) but my main semi-idiot's e/w patent will be...
R7 Very open imo with a multitude of possibilities. My thought... Weekend Special has won on 2 of her 3 visits to this c, all over this d, and given an overall record of 3-3-1 in 18 runs, it would possibly indicate a preference for the Vaal. All 3 wins have come in 8 d runs. Has been in good form since returning from 18 week rest with a silver on the sand over 1000 before winning over c/d lto. Now on 3rd run after the rest. Both runs were under the in form Gunter who is again aboard here. Potentially well drawn in 3. Looks a decent e/w chance at around 10s.
R8 Very open imo with a multitude of possibilities. My thought... Stylish Bay is the outsider of the field. 3/4 top 3 on c, recent form looks inconsistent but most poor runs have come from bad draws. Looks well weighted to me and imo will finish closer to first than last... and hopefully in 1st rather than just close to! lol
R9 Very open imo with a multitude of possibilities. My thought... Lady Muffet was poor lto from a bad draw but does have some ok form and a decent draw, both her wins have come (in 5 runs) on this c and won her only c/d run. At 20/1 + worth a small e/w and inclusion in the patent.
NB... when I refer to course then it could be either the inside or outside track (Winning Form still do not differentiate between the two!).
To be honest, I think it very hard to have a strong fancy in any race today. Looks a minefield and my stakes will all be at the interest only level, particularly when considering some of the results of late at the Vaal.
Be(s)t of luck to all (tu)

Too many variables in race 2.
I used a pin and it landed on Olive Leaf
