With weather patterns becoming so unpredictable, more polytrack must be the way to go....................sand is even less "All weather" than turf and, importantly polytrack form converts almost perfectly to turf(If PE is an example) so late switches will not be of such concern to punters
Even if the planned late switches from turf to sand had been a viable option,as was envisaged,I would have hated to have had a large PA or P6 investment and let them switch the meeting to sand..................the form does not convert at all!!
The sand tracks have been a dismal failure considering what was promised!

surface fine for racing right now, so we will definitely race. However, any more rain will cause havock as drainage is not fast enough and we will lose the meeting. Rain is forecast for around 11am......

If it rains or not here are my likings:
Race 1: Candlelight Queen with Striker up must have a chance againt these lot. Of the others Felan stand out as the second best with Electric Elektra. My value bet in the race: no2 The flying Nun
11x 5 x 1 x 2
Race 2: Cellarmaster come from a long layoff but run second to talented horses like Soft Falling rain and Valberg. Obiously had some problems that are hopefully sorted out. If fit, should win by a street. Kings soldier second best with my value bet Alberto.
2 x 1 x 4 x 10
Race 3: Fighting Force looks like a good thing today. My head tells me that here is more to this race. Fort Dixy come back to 1600m and is more effective over this distance. Last time 2400m too far.I like a bit of Battle of Arcole for nice improvement and is my value bet.
1 x 4 x 12 x 16
Race 4: I like Rivulet to make amends here in an open race. Empire of the Moon looks the right one to win this as well. Mink trip will like todays 1800m. Don't leave out Olympia Beijing my value bet of the race.
2 x 14 x 6 x 15
Race 5 : I like Besame Mucho to win this at any price!! Woodrose is the inform horse and makes strong appeal as well.Perfect Winter and Spiritofamphitrite can run into the money. Beautiful Dawn my value bet.
13 x 4 x 9 x 11 x1
Race 6: I believe Devon Gold will take this as he was showing a nice liking for this surface last time. With this post seal on his back will be hard to overrun. Stavinsky also a chance of winning. Escape Clause always there and around and should earn stake money. My value bet of this race: Benbow
Race7: Wishful Heart with Striker up looks the right one but Pinot Noir also has a fighting chance of winning this. Where's my Chop is one of those horses that you can never leave out of any calculations. My value bet Funny Glory.
6 x 2 x 10 x4
Race 8: I've got a feeling for United today. G Lerena should bring the bacon home on this horse.Savannah Montana can never be left out of anything. Countess Bacardi, Melli Mou must also be considered. My value bet in this race: Cyber Space.
All and all a difficult card past race 3. Play well.

Indeed - nowadays it looks more probable that a meeting scheduled for the Vaal sand should be switched to the turf - and not the other way round
Form a selfish personal point of view, I just hope they get to run the first (tu)

Not convinced there will be much racing. Not convinced about how they will run given the possible surface, I do not believe it can possibly be "standard"... if there is only standard going, then how come THH can make a differential between when the course ran fast and when it ran slow? :S
Not convinced some aren't playing Christmas games of late. Not convinced by my choices but at least the price's are mostly decent (
R1 Playing around Copper Gaia, Royal Voyage, Hillary
R2 Playing around Alberto, Venus Occult and Flight of Eagles
R3 Playing around Skyfall, Nameri, Privy's Promise and Albertdotcom
R4 Playing around Mink Trip, Rivulet, Lyford Cay, Scarlet Berry
R5 Playing around Rainbow Arrow, Grey Area (shame about the price now). Beautiful Dawn
R6 Devon Gold x Stavinsky x Hang Fire
R7 Tribal Code x Pinot Noir
R8 Melli Mou x Cyber Space x Savannah Montana (small interest Tobe's Lass)
Be(s)t of luck to all (tu)
