the one that got away

Ivan Moore begged us to buy this filly Lady Carter , the filly that won the last race on debut at scottsville yesterday at the shongweni sale. She went for 45k and looks to be a lovely filly and is also well related being a half sister to ruby cartel. Looks like we let a good one get away because this was the only horse he ever begged us to buy during our time in his yard

Wendy Whitehead bought the filly n trains it Dave not Ivan, don't you remember I phoned you to tell you Ivan wants to buy the horse but we couldn't get the guys together in time! It was the same week that Bud Boy won his maiden

Yes BC does ring a bell and remember the short notice sent an email but as u say not enough time for commitment and you can only get in trouble if you give the nod and then get stuck with horse.
Remember I ended up with 80% of bud boy at one stage :

R u crazy? It was sold for 45k in feb this year

Only 7months keep , transport and vet

They never forgot to back it either

.....which trainer had this in the yard prior to the sale.....as it was sold as a 2yr old horse in training.........:S

...yes Scott Bros.....were they broken in lunged etc.....or fresh off the farm....strange that they were dispersed before any major 2 year old sale.....in any case these MHB sales certainly have some value when it comes to babies.....The PieMan also part of this draft.....ran 2nd in debut a few months back.....seems to have a few problems or they waiting for better racing conditions.....
