well jokes aside, you possibly dont give enough respect to how powerful this forum is, there are 100's of parasites that never post but read this everyday and back horses on the strength of some very very well informed people. Also i am sure every single bookmaker in SA has someone in their office that reads this site and the selections of some as i say pretty informed people.

This is wonderful and everything is great BUT the truth is there are often debates about who has the right to back a horse 1st? there are often debates about horses shortening and owners/trainers get the needle because they never got on

I bet you that some of these horses shorten because someone on here tipped them. Its a powerful medium this, for me its a non starter to make any selections on here and i know many others that feel the same, its not because ABC is rubbish but rather because its so good and respected that invariably your price will disappear by tipping on here. Especially a "12/1 shot" that is live and looks overpriced.

So i know i have waffled on a bit but the SA market is so small that people on here can sway prices.

I know that I have often seen horses metioned by two or three posters here and within minutes it shortens. I was only pulling you leg and werll done on Mr Vindaloo yesterday, he won well again. (tu)

another example is Hollybucks


i dont want to start a fight but anyone that uses that is declaring his/her hand. I think its stupid to stick your selections into a bookmakers portal which can be easily filtered and monitored and all for nothing that bookie is getting a "feel" for how the market will play out that day.

also i am NOT saying stop it, forums are a wonderful thing and also i think its too late. i get the "community" thing BIG time. I have made friends on here and that is worth more than 14/1 about a 3/1 shot.
