Marshalls World of Sport

Hi Clanners,

I hope there is someone from the company who can assist me.

I work near the branch in Durban Road, Bellville, Cape Town and place my bets there almost on a daily basis as it's convenient for me. I would play on-line, but my work blocks most sites, so i pop in there to place bets.

The problem that i have is that this specific branch (i have never been to other branches of Marshalls, so cannot comment on them) has a problem every single day......WITHOUT FAIL! The problems are so bad i am deciding whether i need to spend my money somewhere else! The problems range from:
1. The system is slow
2. The system is offline
3. We need to reboot
4. the problem is not on our side, but at our head office in Durban....

blablabla, i am sick and tired of the excuses.

Is there an upgrade due at this branch or is this service going to continue?

This is a true story.......i went to the branch last week sometime and wanted to lay my bets. The system was offline.......again!! I couldn't wait around as i had a meeting and had to get back to the office. I left my bets (Pick6, 3 jackpots and a 3 horse multiple) with the manager on duty as he said he would place my bets for me. I can name the guy, but won't right now. I left work a little earlier to go and fetch my tickets and he said my pick6 never got on! needless to say the freakin pick6 ticket was a winning ticket. He got the 3 jackpot tickets on (they were all winning jackpots). My multiple bet he gets on, but i want to know how he got that on, cos my 1st leg was the 1st leg on the pick6 (which he couldnt get on due to the system still being offline?????). My muliple that i wrote our VERY clearly, are all winners, but he put the wrong horse in the last leg!! i almost fainted! Here i'm shouting the horse home for nothing!

This has left a bad taste in my mouth Marshalls.......

Thanks Ken. I am actually thinking of just going to place my bets at the Durbanville racecourse. There is a tote and bettingworld there as well. I'm sure that will solve all my issues......

i have the same problem at their branch in Umhlanga.

Peekay, do you not have a smartphone with some data bundle ? Cos then Hollywood is definitely the way to go. A mere 100 MB per month will more than suffice.
