RIP. Oom Koos was instrumental in helping many trainers in obtaining their licenses. A few that comes to mind is David Nieuwenhuys, Jan Breedt, Tyrone Zacky, Romeo Francis, there are others but it slips my mind.

i now koos for over 30 year. my memory of him is more for the person than the results. a friendly man he always greet me after i am introduce to him by the mutual friend. if we are honest he is never bless to find the champion horse all though he train some good one over all the year he is train. what i find sad is this man give all his life to horses yet he die destitute with i here only two horse in the stable. things are so bad the cost of funeral and burial can not be paid. credit must be give to mr ferraris who help to arrange for that to be sorted. i am told larry weinstein from racing association assist. this is good well done to them and once again we dont look after the racing people
