Add Mrs Slack to the mix. Can we have a sequel by other prominent owners, trainers and breeders coming to the fore? or, have they also silently exitted?

Kid ourselves (and pat on the back for the massive 'investments' in ownership/partnerships where the funds have obviously come from the dividends; nothing patriotic / philantropic!), soon, this game will be 1 000x worse than the 'old boys club' of yore!

I could not agree more with Barry and Team V, it's a great shame our own regulators didn't see it this way!

Well said Barry,its taken our boys a long time to realise that our racing game has gone backwards,plus the fact that you have highlighted it must get them thinking.On this ABC site we have had numerous discussions about the stake money being pathetic,especially in our gr1/2/3 races.The latest headline was that the Vodacom July stake has increased to 3.5 million,but Vodacom could easily have doubled that considering that they are giving millions too soccer teams in the EPL,and after being knocked out of the African cup,one wonders where to from here.

Did this not make headlines on TT or the horsie sites??
