Vis this entire thread is based on the reply from the posting on Sporting post from Vee, it's nothing to do with calming paranoid minds, the above is a reaction to the article and if it makes you rush to the tote ?

Good punting

You have gotta be joking right..................this goes to the essence of ther saftote issue...........we are presumed to be idiots.......propaganda only works on some of the people...........the explanation makes no sense!!!

As Dave says, the bottom line is,I can't use the tote other than for the large exotics..........no matter how much sh!t you feed me !

The point I take from above article is that the SA tote did note subsidise the aus punter, they only paid the 60c. The way I see this way more money flowed into the SA Tote than out. I got some of the 23/1 place, so made some aussie money. Even if both fav horses placed, the aussie tote would have still lost.

Simple question :
What is the maximum Tote rebate (on turnover) given to punters overseas ?
You will find it's far more than any tote agencies get here.

....what still remains unexplained and a total mystry is that nothing adds up......Is our local contribution to the pool so small that when a 60 cent dividend is rounded up to a Rand it does not affect the other place payouts......I was astounded with my place payout on the 3rd horse and while the result was pending was expecting less .....yet I got what was on the payout screen while 2 horses were still reflecting 60 cents...:S....ie when 2 horses or in this case 1 payout was adjusted from 60 cents to a rand it did not affect any of the other 2 place payouts.....I was 1st to post yesterday on how before and during the race the place payouts went ABSOLUTELY haywire.....and we can thank Nico at TT for spotting the sudden 3BAR injection into the pools and obviously trying to get to Vee but was beaten by another ex-punter trainer....but it looks like another a poor explaination but does not discourage me from using the tote.....small money on these more frequent oppertunities makes it all worthwhile....;)

Easy, can you honestly believe that Tabcorp would contract to co-mingle with an organization that guarantees a "money back" ,but not to them/their customers...............would you???
