I have spent many a day at all the Australian grounds (not Hobart) watching all the nations playing against the Aussies and yes I love it when the Aussies lose. I only love it more when you lot lose.

If I do have a bet then it would be on top scoring batsman on each side in an ODI match thats all I do on cricket.

Greg, most of those "stupid" bets are only for the truly insane or those that cover their losses in bets.
I used to back number of runs to be scored because occasionally you got stupid odds, I missed out by 1 run on a 80/1 bet once... a 1 dayer where they needed about 70 to get there with 8 wickets down. But the bookies have got wise now and you don't really see those odds anymore, I now do them more for in-play American Football. Normally for cricket I stick to MOTM or top scorer/wicket taker... if you know your cricket then there is money to be made... like in India, I thought England would do well but you could discount 5 or 6 as being the likely MOTM... Cook, Pietersen, Anderson, Panesar, Swann... at a minimum of 10/1 the likelihood was that if England won you would at least double your money by doing them all. Just an example. Also backing England in India and SA in Oz were decent bets imo, simply by backing the better team abroad the home side is on the slide.

Cricket is my favourite and main form of gambling – absolute best for spread betting.
With the shorter formats, “in running” fixed odds can be very volatile and lucrative.
It is relatively easy to make a book and be a winner on either team

Nice couple of 6's by Rory in the end, but can we defend 208 ?
I think yes.

NZ will win within 43 overs, SA far too over confident and if Steyn has an off day we will be klapped
