By the way Tigger,just checked the score again,just to make sure it was only 5-4,when 8-4 would be more of a true reflection of the game.

You mean Chelsea had 34 attempts on goal and could only score 5... and on top of that ONE was scored in so called injury time (90+4 minutes)... How useless is that!!!...<

It'll be lively Dave, as I am sure you know there was a lot of hatred between the two back in the 70s, Geez, thats nearly a half century ago!!!

And stop all this quoting of stats from last night lol With the side out I thought United did very well and (including injury time won the match, if there was no such thing as di Matteo time then you'd have been "sent packing" Drawing and ultimately winning a game with those teams through a couple of penalties is nothing to shout home about. Chelski may have been well ahead on shots and all that but I don't remember a decent save in the entire game so those shots can't have held much potency (even the one that hit the bar the keeper should have had comfortably), all teams can shoot pointlessly. But less us not dissect an Inconsequential Cup match, it was a good game and to be honest, though I never like to lose, I have no problem with end result. Well done to Chelsea.
