ooohhh...that depends on what time of the month it is...lol
punters are becoming harder to find for them...so its considerably lower than it was....like everything in life..values drop....lo

but by right money i alluded more to the fact of stable or connections money

Somebody on this thread posted that van Zyl's winning % is ONLY 33%??? Isn't that 3 % more than what the average is for favorites winning????

Seems to me like Gavin, Brandon, Team G and everybody connected with this great stable ae doing pretty darn well if you ask me?

BTW: I have no way of corroborating if the 33% is accurate, I'm simply going off the above posts.

Gavin is taking racing in SA into the future. Sharing info, getting syndicates into good horses, not just mediocre soupmeat....thats how you keep people happy and attract new people to the game!

Interesting stuff racing guru,so as a owner do you find it common practice for jockeys to want connections to lay a bet for them or do you just give the jock a bonus if it wins

not with team g horses...no jocks get anything from me.....and its with good reason..i dont give...its the same with casinos...why should i tip the croupier...its her job...and if i won its my luck..not her luck for me to give her something...same with jocks..they get enough..if they want more ,let them do a withdrawal at the bank and go put it on
if the croupier went placed a ball on 0 and i then bet on zero..then she deserves a tip, other than that i dont see the point of giving...

agree with Justin V You guys are now bad mouthing a very very good jock - by the way Balse is moderate and would have lost with any jock on - maybe look at the form - how good can it be if a piece of kak can come from last and beat it - come on stop blaming the jockey when you do your nuts take it like a man. I have seen Brandon make very few mistakes and BTW i backed him on Silver Spring - is that his fault no it was my fault cause i was an idiot at that price and the form was weak and draw bad and ran accordingly. Disgraceful to blame the jock for your losses.Brandon is a very good jock and clearly one of the best in the country.

Nice subject(tu) but fark, we have some radical views. I'm surprised GB did not have some sarc remark, (must not be feeling well) and obviously the Magi is not around either...but I can't understand the generalized remarks about Brandon...(what crap!) no-one is perfect, but how much ability does a trainer and jock impart to a horse? Julius Malema is a favourite in this country...only because he has so many stupid supporters.
Making a horse favourite does fark all to his chances...:S

Some of you ,"experts", are how many years in this industry?.... and still know farkall about racing and punting....now its the jockey thats bad....next the trainer.....shame on you....i bet you also buy the racecard(only when you on-course) or newspaper(most of the times) just before the meeting and hope gavin tip you the winner.....CATCH A WAKE-UP SUNSHINE....he is telling you the wellbeing of the horse and give you his view....its your job to go study the form and if the formline compliment Gavin's views, then my friend, then you go punt it.....it is all to clear the moaners dont do their homework... and BRANDON IS ONE OF THE TOP 3 JOCKEYS IN NATAL.....and please don't argue, you already proofed you not successful when it comes to punting

The only certainty in horse racing is the uncertainty. I agree with Zietsman in that, after studying the form of a race, should you fancy a team gb horse and the trainer gives it some chance of winning, then punt it, if not, punt your own fancy in the race.
Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

Whether he is in the top 3 in Natal or not is a matter of opinion but the fact that he is giving 100% on his stables horses cannot be disputed something the les_lies of this world should learn to accept instead of shooting off their uninformed mouths ....
Give everything but up!
