Let’s just call it a ‘ademuromomento’
8 June 2012
We have all made mistakes, granted some have been bigger than others but after I praised the riding of Mirco Demuro earlier this week I think I must have jinxed him after yesterday’s effort where he rode a finish a circuit too early at Wolverhampton. And yes I said Wolverhampton. I could understand if it was the cross-country course at Punchestown that confuses me every year but a one mile oval track? Really. I am going to have to invent a new word for it, let's go with 'ademuromomento,' which is what this type of error will be called in the future. I simply can't fathom in my mind what he must have been thinking. Most of the mistakes I have made in my life have involved some sort of liquid beforehand but I can't comprehend what this guy must have been thinking to make such an error. There are no excuses but I would love to have been in the steward’s room and more so the weighing room after that debacle. I didn't back the horse and maybe if I did I would be joining the ranks of the screamers on the forums to send him to Syria for the weekend as his punishment. The two week ban he did receive will be of little significance to the pain he feels the next time he is sits in a traffic jam and his mind starts to wonder. OK rant over. Let’s forgive and forget, 'he who is without sin' and all that. The best thing he can do is to punch in a big winner this weekend and all will be forgotten. I am pretty sure he won't do it again that's for sure.

what? I remember playing rugby and the 22 was a solid line not broken as it should be and one of our players dotted down thinking it was the try line - I wonder if he has a son that is a Jockey?
