Simon Cowell would never tolerate such incompetence - He would invent new insults to deal with this behaviour - Honest criticism is something that Racing Operators in SA seem to ignore - How anyone can justify not having a race form before going on air is beyond me(we punters can download them ) - throwing out the names of half the field is equally as bad when tipping- and calling a filly a he in a F&M Handicap? Renaming a horse that has run 20 times because you can’t be bothered to listen to the way the commentator calls the horse? Private jokes that have no bearing on tipping a horse?...Reality hurts but true professionals would learn from it instead of trying to nob forums off as "complaining people that are negative - shame how do they cope. Is there betting in Dubai? (not being facetious, I honestly don't know)

Are the presenters necessary at all, and if they are, why are they required to tip?

I ask this from a completely non-betting perspective.

It can be argued that *every* group has a contribution to the racing industry, and no single group can be called the "lynch pin" so to speak. The various parties involved in supplying the horse for the punter to have a product to punt on, to the punter who provides very necessary revenue for the maintenance of racing and of course the all important stakes. It's an "egg-and-chicken" debate that will never be won.

It's definitely ok to be upset about a person's conduct, and everybody has a right to say so, and voice their opinion... But I've remembered why I frequent this forum so rarely now - people are very happy to say *very* nasty things, and accuse people of misconduct when it is often unfounded, and merely a sour grapes opinion. It is full of slanderous and insulting comments. And amazingly, it's the same handful of people who moan about various things on an almost constant basis. Mostly how everyone is just in the racing game to stick them out.

I say: if you wouldn't have the guts to say it to the person's face, then it shouldn't be said at all.

Has there ever been a thread where everybody has their say about what is GOOD in the game, or what has impressed them? I challenge every one of you to put your good knowledge of racing to the test, and provide some compliments and give credit where it is due. People respond to praise, but constant nagging falls on deaf ears.

But, this *IS* a betting forum (I often forget this), so perhaps I should just stay away *shrug*

when something is wrong it does not matter who calls it - it it is still wrong -
There are many threads on what is good in the game - have a look - Praising jockeys for good rides, certain tipsters, great horses etc can all be found but as usual when something is so blatantly wrong then the forums are just full of negative people!!
i will never be convinced that you should accept bad service because to air your views is negative and destructive!!

Ruby on this thread their is constant praise to a lot of people, we do not need another thread, there is plenty of suggestions to make improvements by the operators, do you know what comes from it zilch, nothing.

I was also one of the person who was told ABC is this bad and this and that till I joined, and it has changed my life, before i go to bed at night I check the site for new treads, in the morning when I wake up it is the first thing i check ( not always some times i check something else first but i can not write about it here(:D )

on this site i think there are all kinds, there are the kinds who care and share joys and sympathies with forum friends, who are prepared to lend a hand or a ear, who give genuine advice and I think that they are in the majority,

then unfortunately there are the one who are totally negative, do not have a good word and are constantly attacking other forum members views etc, but they are in the minority and I for one chose to ignore them and focus on the majority who enjoy to be on the forum and who gives positive contributions.

For myself, I try and give positive contributions and inputs, but i do criticize bad service or below par performance.

Guys, this thread has a few negative comments about Julie's anti-man humour becoming a bit tiresome.Rubyclipper was a horse trained in the stable ...............could be a co-incidence of course..............lol
I think that if taken to heart,Julie's overall presentations might improve.
One final point.................................anybody who can read a set of financials would know that the local product has very little to be positive about...........if negative is the truth ,then negative it has to be spoke!

Well, my initial 2 questions haven't been answered:

Is tipping really necessary to your betting activities? Especially when the information and tips supplied come from another punter or a presenter/ journalist?

Is there betting in Dubai?

tipping from anyone that by default of their job they are forced to tip every single race is not worth jack.

there is a betting market formed for dubai racing, there are NO odds offered in dubai itself BUT for a free raffle you can on most nights be in line to win a car and other prizes oncourse for predicting 6 correct winner.

So racing survives without betting in Dubai, which holds the biggest purse race in the world? (Sponsored largely by the Sheiks then, I guess?)

So if you wouldn't take a Telly Track presenter's tips seriously anyway, why would you still complain about them?
