Sorry for your loss Titch may everything go well in the future..

Had the same story 5 years ago got myself a alsation puppy 2 weeks went by and he died in my bed till this day i have no clue why he passed away i cried for days i loved "flash" so much and i understand how u feel i know it was only 2 weeks we spent together but those where the best 2 weeks of my life!!!!

Thats why i can get so cross when people abuse dogs or any animals makes a person wonder what goes threw that person's head coz i could never hurt a dog not in my nature.

All the best my friend!!!!

Sorry for your loss to you and the family. Had a dog Scampie the naughtiest German Shepard with big brown eyes born on my birthday. Had him for 5yrs and he was my best friend. Left the gate opened one day and he decided to go for a walk and a car knocked him. He just managed to come home and died in my arms. That was 15yrs ago and I never had a dog since.

i posted last night, but decided to post something else.............i have gottne another dog, a sausage dog, and he is great. I had a hamster and now a bird, but to be totally honest here, i find myself not getting attached to them at all. After my sad loss, i just don't want to get too attached again as that was most probably the most heartsore thing that has happened to me in my life.

Give a abandoned dog a chance. Between my girlfriend, her mother and myself we have 8 dogs of which 7 have now been given another chance by adopting from the SPCA and they are all great and give us a huge amount of pleasure. Please abopt and give them another chance and the best bet I have ever tipped is that they will make it worth your while. Although we will be very upset when they go we will have had the privelage of there conpanionship for whatever time they are with us.

Peekay, I know where you coming from, but even if you adopt pigeons in ur garden and care for them, or give the Kwikstertjie some grated cheece and invite them into ur kitchen, and listen to the unseen 'piet my vrou' and buy some food for the 'bergies' tick invested dog, and give some water and carrots to the cart horse who'se owner is picking up the garden refuse..........God Bless you my friend

Craig, the Kloof SPCA is world class! Iv been dr on a few occasions and u walk away with tears in ur eyes! Unfortunately I am unable to have more than 2 dogs due to body corp rules,so I have been banned by my fiance and family from visiting SPCA as I almost walked away adopting a dalmatian the last time

Condolences Titch. The first dog I had to put down was my rotwelleir who was 12 years old, his hips went. The 2nd was was alson a rotteiller who had cancer, thankfully i did not have to put him down, he died sitting under his favourite tree, waiting for me to comehome. The 3rd was a cross spaniel who was very old and was blind. She found her way around the house as she had been living there for years, then we had to me to our present house and I took the vet's advice and put her down.
I soft by nature and to have to say goodbye is heart wrenching. I have 2 Rottys at present and they are 8 years old but seem in good health. I cannot live without my dogs.
