Now I ask is there another commentator in SA that has failed to call the winner of the race in the places?

I'm now hunting for tickets on Jan Smut drive. I listened on the phone and after the call tossed them out the window so zero chance of getting my PA ticket now. WTF

Lmao...All you can do now, is to hope that someone who needs the money badly, picks up the ticket

If he is calling from the on track cameras, I can understand the poor calling. I enjoy him, (yip,I'm not a full box of Smarties) but then I don't have any money down. The way things appear, PE and the Lotto are very much the same.(:D

Dumpy adds the mystical and humor to racing, he keeps you wondering, he brings excitement and disappointment, and all this in a single race!!

If he was a cricket/rugby/boxing etc commentator do you think he would still have a job? Not everything gets better with age

Listen to him with an open mind... he calls the whole field at least once, uses varied descriptions and most frequently calls the first four past the post. He does not say ...followed by....followed by....followed by... followed by.. or...and then ..and then and then ...

He DOES NOT call the front horse home for the last 400m's without ANY regard for what is happening behind, he does not say A from B and a photo behind for EVERY race. which is huge irritation factor for me.

Because of his positives I find it easy to forgive his sometimes HUGE bloopers... out of 30 races he calls 27 darn well... except yes when he makes a mistake it is usually huge ....
