JJ the Jet Plane - takes off for green pastures!

We, the JJ Team, have unanimously decided to retire our flying champ, JJ THE JET PLANE.

We are desperately sad to see the end of our champion’s racing career, however,

we are happy that he can retire a proud and gallant hero to us all.

After his amazing feats, both locally and abroad, our Jet will fold his wings and retire in style to live out his days

In luxury and bliss in the green hills of Balmoral Stud in Mooi River, and we know that Nicola & Marc Coppez will

love and care for him as we have over the last 6 years.

We would like to thank JJ himself for giving us the honour & pleasure of experiencing the true sport of kings through

his graceful speed and electrifying personality.

We have had the privilege of souring high on his wings - experiencing heights almost unimaginable!

He has done us and the whole of South Africa proud and has been a true ambassador to our great country.

We love him and we will miss him dearly – but knowing he will only be a few hours away,

relaxing in luscious paddocks and being spoilt – gives us peace!

We would also like to extend our since thanks to each and every person who has been involved in JJ’s career,

travels and achievements – as much as he has impacted on your lives – you were all instrumental in his successes!

From his humble beginnings at Vaal Race Course; to his escapades across our Country; to the Cape Town Quarantine Stations, to the green downs of Newmarket, England; to the hustle and bustle of Hong Kong; to the desert sands on Dubai, he has touched many hearts and made many friends around the world and knowing him as we do – we know he will treasure all the memories, as we will too!

J J always reminded me of a quote; 'there's nothing better for the inside of a man than the outside of a horse.'
