Had the privilege of seeing him win at Meydan last year on World Cup Night. What a horse and what memories.
Enjoy retirement champ

I had the pleasure of being on duty as presenter at the Vaal, on the occasion of JJ's debut win, and I never let Coenie Strydom forget that he told me, at the time, that they had other more talented young horses waiting in the wings. I'm still waiting for them to emerge from their stables, and it's been about six years now! But what a ride he's given his connections. And he's definitely earned himself a place in the "Legends" line-up. Well done, Lucky, Natalie and all concerned, not to mention J J himself.. Thanks for all the thrills you've given us.
